Michelle Schoenfeld, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. I have years of training and experience counseling individuals and children in school, health care, and Hospice settings.
My approach to counseling is rooted in the therapeutic relationship – the connection between counselor and client, two human beings on this path in life. In our time together this shows up as the compassion I hold with you and purposefully will hold a safe, sacred space with you. I believe this path of authenticity is the way of whole hearted living that I personally embrace in my own life, and support my clients in cultivating as well. I am a modern thinker and enjoy teaching the specific skills and mindsets for Living Happily.
The therapeutic models I enjoy using are:
Rogerian Client Centered, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Cognitive Experiential, Guided Meditation, Mindfulness (non-judgemental present moment awareness ) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). I am particularly devoted to healing past traumas without reliving them, through the methods of Memory Reconsolidation, and Somatic Integration.

Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Development from the University of Maryland and my Masters of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York. I have over twenty years experience counseling individuals in many different settings who might be dealing with life changes.
I believe that having assistance in navigating the various stages of life can be invaluable. Stress management and setting goals to achieve personal growth help to find balance in your life. I can help you to achieve your full potential through positive coping skills.
I believe coming to counseling should be a safe and comfortable pIace. A strong relationship between client and therapist are invaluable in making changes. Counseling can help you to examine the thoughts, emotions and behaviors that may be holding you back. In our partnership, we will begin to identify new choices and practices that move you closer to becoming the person you are meant to be.
I mix traditional therapeutic models with newer practices enabling you to meet your goals in a meaningful way. A new perspective on moving forward is sometimes what is necessary to get away from feeling stuck. It is my hope that you will leave therapy not only with a deeper understanding of yourself but also with a set of your own personal tools to help face challenges that come your way.
